Trial Judge: September 2005 - December 2006
Presided over Common Pleas Court of general jurisdiction hearing civil and criminal cases. Criminal jurisdiction included all crimes defined by statute as felonies, as well as certain other criminal offenses. Civil jurisdiction includes disputes greater than $15,000 with no maximum dollar limitation. Handled thousands of cases with roughly a 25% criminal 75% civil distribution.

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney: August 1993 - September 2005
Gang Unit Director. Managed the prosecution of hundreds of homicide, cold case homicide, large-scale drug trafficking, organized crime and gang activity cases. Advised law enforcement at the local, state and federal levels. Supervised four assistant prosecuting attorneys, investigators and support staff. Relied upon to prosecute the most notorious criminals in Franklin County, prosecuted over 45 death penalty cases and litigated over 75 jury trials.

Council Member: January 1998 - December 2001
Worked to expand and retain economic development and infrastructure improvements. Formulated and implemented $62 million budget. Worked with constituents. Reviewed and approved legislation. Chaired the Administrative Committee, which supervised city personnel matters. Represented city on the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission.
